by Chief Alchemist a.k.a Wiley Chin - August 17, 2006 Posted: 2:46:28 PM EDT

Apologies, I discovered my blog's comments function is broken. I was getting a flood of spam some months ago and roughly around April, I put a validation feature to my commentary section to stop the spams from filtering through. Apparently it broke the code. I was unaware of that other than the fact that I noticed nobody sent me any comments anymore. I thought nobody was reading and actually I was stuck with a lot of work and wasn't posting new entries.

Now I know.

If you did comment and it wasn't showing, I am sorry.

Mai pen rai... :-)

What was this place? The whole gang got into this pix.

The Temple of Dawn, a beautiful architecture decorated with colorful broken Chinese ceramics.

The Cruise Ship, we took another which is prettier, called Princess Coral

Possible Impossibility
by Chief Alchemist a.k.a Wiley Chin - August 10, 2006 Posted: 6:32:52 PM EDT

In my mind, success in life is a series of breaking through one's mental barriers. We carry many assumptions about what we can do, and what we cannot.

Do you hear the word, IMPOSSIBLE, when you reflect on your wildest dreams in life?

You say, I want to be fit and healthy, IMPOSSIBLE, because you don't like to exercise and you love your food.
You say, I want to be successful and happy, IMPOSSIBLE, because you don't have what it takes to be successful.

Well, the list goes on.

'Possible Impossibility', sketch by Deborah Sze

Have you heard of the phrase, 'Possible Impossibility'?
Have you heard of the opposite of that, 'Impossible Possibility?'

They sound like word-plays but their meanings could not have been more different.

There are just too many things we categorise as IMPOSSIBLE. Most of them are what we call, Impossible Possibility. Our attitude towards opportunites are mostly like that, yeah, it's possible but...

But I would like to take another road in life. For me, it's not a play of words, but a framing of mind-set. I would like to aim for Possible Impossibility in my journey in life. And that's just right.

For the year 2006/2007, our tagline in XiMnet is 'Express the Impossible'. We will take on the attitude of seeing the Possibilities in the supposed Impossibilities in our work, in our self-development and in delivering quality work for our clients.

Possible Impossibilities!

'Express the Impossible', because your life is your canvas. Make it your best piece, every moment, each and every day.

We at XiMnet will start the ball rolling by launching a brand-new website with the same theme. And tomorrow, we are off to BANGKOK to reflect on our goals ahead, together.
